FEC Sanctions and Detection Manager
As a Sanctions & Detection Manager at Rabobank youll lead the frontline defense against financial crime by managing our name screening teams and shaping the future of sanctions compliance. In this dynamic and high-impact role youll guide complex decision-making influence global policy and help safeguard our clients the bank and society from sanctions-related risks.

As a Sanctions and Detection Manager you will be successful by ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of Rabobanks name screening operations providing expert sanctions guidance and safeguarding the bank against legal regulatory and reputational risks.
As a Sanctions and Detection Manager you will lead the name screening teams in identifying and mitigating sanctions-related risks across Rabobanks global operations. Your primary objective is to ensure compliance with evolving sanctions regulations by providing expert guidance overseeing complex case reviews and supporting robust screening processes. This role plays a critical part in protecting the bank from legal regulatory and reputational exposure. By driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of compliance you directly contribute to Rabobanks mission of safeguarding our clients the bank and society.
Lead and manage the Name Screening teams ensuring effective detection and escalation of potential sanctions matches.
Support the Head of Ongoing Monitoring in managing sanctions-related risks and ensuring compliance with global and local regulations.
Provide expert guidance on complex sanctions matters to business units and junior colleagues particularly in relation to OFAC and other international regimes.
Monitor and interpret changes in sanctions regulations recommending and implementing necessary actions to maintain compliance.
Review and approve high-risk transactions and clients ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Advise deal teams on sanctions risks legal clauses and appropriate representations in client documentation.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance sanctions awareness and capability across the organization.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of policies procedures and controls and perform ad hoc reviews to identify and address potential AML-related gaps.

To be considered for the FEC Sanctions and Detection Manager role you must have:
Bachelors Degree JD or Masters degree strongly preferred. CAMS Certification strongly preferred.
10 years of Relevant Experience
Extensive experience with large financial institutions in compliance legal or financial crime functions.
Expertise in sanctions regulations with a focus on OFAC and knowledge of EU and UK sanctions regimes.
5 years of experience in a compliance legal or financial crime function within a large financial institution.
Proven track record of managing sanctions-related risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Experience in conducting KYC due diligence and risk assessments.
Ability to travel regionally up to 15%

Saint Louis MO Target Hiring Range: $125000.00 - $165000.00
New York NY Target Hiring Range: $150000.00 - $185000.00
This position is subject to the terms of RAF/Rabobank/RDSs compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location or for other lawful reasons.
