The mission of Painted Oak Nature School is to be a nurturing community of learners that values kindness cooperation curiosity imagination and respect for all living things. We cultivate habits that instill confidence capability and self-reliance. Through daily interactions with the environment our school promotes a holistic nature-based education for preschoolers grade schoolers and their families that foster deep connections with the natural world and to each other.
The position of Spanish Immersion Teacher will provide programming logistics and engagement for our Upper Primary and Middle School students. These classes meet once a week on Thursday afternoons. The class may be held outdoors or indoors depending on the weather and/or nature of the lesson for students in 3rd 8th grade.
Minimum qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience in offering youth world language & culture instruction (specifically Spanish) developing creative curriculum be adaptable to unexpected program changes the ability to engage grade schoolers and have strong interpersonal skills. The candidate should exude confidence leading a group in learning a new language. In addition the candidate will be proactive detailoriented can multitask and prioritize. Employment is contingent on a successful background check.
