About the Role:
This is a technical role focused within technical organizations. As a Technical Product Manager you will define and drive the product vision roadmap and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric software solutions aligned with business objectives. You will serve as a subject matter expert for complex BSS/OSS products and play a critical role in shaping AT&Ts technical product strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a clear technical product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs market trends and competitive landscape. Define and prioritize the technical product roadmap in collaboration with business architecture UX engineering and other product managers.
Guide product development through detailed software product requirements user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure product viability desirability and alignment with business goals by setting success criteria and monitoring performance.
Collaborate closely with Architecture and Engineering teams on technical design and manage critical dependencies to enable smooth delivery.
Facilitate trade-off discussions feature prioritization and timing negotiations with stakeholders to align on optimal technical solutions.
Act as the voice of the customer ensuring a consistent high-quality user experience throughout the product lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning and feature refinement providing guidance and resolving questions as needed.
Lead initiatives spanning multiple technical product lines or platforms. Mentor less experienced product managers and collaborate with leadership to shape organizational technical product strategies.
Write features and set direction for groups of teams or epics that guide multiple teams across platforms.
Requirements:
Technical Expertise:Deep understanding of BSS/OSS systems with hands-on experience and familiarity with software development methodologies service-oriented architecture and product analytics.
Product Management & Business Acumen:Ability to align short- and long-term roadmaps prioritize effectively and maintain stakeholder alignment. Strong business acumen to translate technical product vision into business value.
Cross-functional Communication & Leadership:Exceptional communication skills capable of influencing laterally across teams and upward to executive leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
8-10 years of experience in technical product management roles preferably within telecommunications or related industries.
Proven track record of ideation roadmap development and independently managing complex projects.
Highly self-organized with strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with SaFE Agile practices.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapting to change.
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) is preferred.
Holds or is pursuing a technical Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field is a plus.
Our Principal Tech Product Mgr earns between $158200-$237400 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography experience expertise and education/training.
