We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Manufacturing Senior Architect to drive strategic technology initiatives within our organization. As the Manufacturing Senior Architect you will be responsible for shaping and executing technology strategies that align with our business objectives and drive innovation across the ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise architecture a solid understanding of manufacturing technologies deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.
This is a hybrid position in our Dearborn MI office.
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll have the opportunity to do
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide technology architecture strategies for manufacturing in alignment with business goals.
- Translate business goals into Technology Requirements
- Develop and create reusable reference architectures for common business capabilities to help standardize technology solutions and reduce redundancy.
- Create and develop technology roadmaps.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Build and mentor a high-performing architecture team to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and IT organization and foster collaboration.
- Serve as a strategic partner to business units providing guidance on technology investments and solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in technology processes and practices to enhanceefficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in IT governance processes to ensure that technology decisions are aligned with the organizations overall strategy and risk appetite.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in all technology initiatives.
- Evaluate new technologies and trends to determine potential impact on the organization. This involves conducting proof-of-concepts including in the areas of AI/ML and other emerging trends and make recommendations
- Support IT teams in the seamless transition from strategy to development and delivery phases and in creating technical designs and documentation for new features and functionalities.
QualificationsYoull have...
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Systems Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 8 years of Software and Technology Delivery experience
- 2 years of demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present to senior management and write clear and concise architecture recommendations.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry-specific technology solutions such as IIoT Edge MES
- 3 years of cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures (GCP preferred) experience
- 5 years of experience in these areas:
- Exceptional time management and digital proficiency.
- The ability to influence and persuade others to adopt architectural recommendations.
- Understanding of solution architecture principles and patterns including microservices and API first design.
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
Even better you may have...
- Masters Degreein Computer Science Computer Engineering Systems Engineering or related field
- Industry experience in Automotive
- Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g. TOGAF) is a plus.
- Data Architecture knowledge including data modeling data warehousing data integration and data governance principles.
