Job Summary: The Dyslexia Specialist will serve as a regional expert supporting schools and districts in Northwest Arkansas with the implementation of effective practices for students at risk for or identified with characteristics of dyslexia. This role includes delivering professional development conducting data analysis providing technical assistance supporting screening processes and ensuring compliance with Arkansas state laws rules and the Dyslexia Resource Responsibilities: Professional Development & Training: Design and deliver high-quality professional learning experiences on dyslexia structured literacy and related topics for educators administrators and staff across K-12 settings. Present content which is aligned with the Arkansas Dyslexia Law and the Dyslexia Resource Guide. Risk Analysis & Data Interpretation: Lead districts to analyze screening and progress monitoring data from districts and schools to identify students at risk. Assist educators in interpreting data to inform instructional and intervention decisions. Technical Assistance & Consultation: Provide direct support and guidance to district and school teams regarding dyslexia screening intervention accommodations and parent communication. Consult on the implementation of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS/RTI) with a focus on substantial reading deficits including characteristics of dyslexia. Support Screening & Intervention: Support schools in administering and interpreting ATLAS scores diagnostic assessments and level 2 dyslexia screeners. Help schools design appropriate intervention plans and fidelity monitoring systems. Compliance & Policy Support: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Arkansas laws ADE rules and regulations and best practices related to dyslexia. Assist districts in aligning their policies and practices with the law rules and regulations and Dyslexia Resource Guide and reporting requirements.
