About the opportunity

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference within the community!

Recovery Workers are integral to the Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program as they work closely with participants in their recovery journey whilst at PARC both individually and with their clinical care teams and in leading a range of groups and activities onsite. Our Recovery Workers also provide key operational support and help create new innovations and improvements for the ongoing quality of the program.

PARCs operate 24/7 on a rotating roster inclusive of afternoon evening and weekend hours.

We are looking for a team member to join us with availability to work four sleepover shifts one Sunday afternoon a fortnight. Sleepover shifts commence at 5:30pm in the afternoon where youre active on shift until 11pm then active again from 7am to 9am the next day.

Penalty rates apply for relevant hours worked.

About the program

The PARC program is a collaborative service between Wellways and Eastern Health. Maroondah PARC is located in a community setting and provides an option for people who are becoming unwell or need a short period of additional support to strengthen their gains from spending time in an inpatient setting.

All our recovery services value cultural diversity support and create opportunities for recovery value peer participation and leadership and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice.
