This vacancy is located at Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe LA.

Minimum Qualifications

Must posses a Bachelors degree or higher and experience working with students in a school setting using computer management systems for remediation.

Teaching certification preferred.

There may be additions and alternatives to the above qualifications as OJJ determines to be appropriate.

Job Specification

Utilizes computers and technology to support student achievement.
Use available curriculum materials and equipment in the teaching / learning process.

Job Duties and Other Information

  1. Fully implements all cts of the math and reading programs to support student achievement.
  2. Assists students using software and equipment.
  3. Plans instruction that correlates with the individual students needs or as requested by the classroom teacher.
  4. Makes regular contact with classroom teachers to keep lines of communication open concerning students progress.
  5. Demonstrates and teaches proper ethical computer and lab use.
  6. Oversees the working operation of the computers and related peripherals.
  7. Performs troubleshooting functions.
  8. Maintains accurate and up-to-date management records of all students progress.
  9. Works with students one-on-one ibn the computer lab and as needed in the classroom setting.
  10. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by principal or supervisor.

This is an unclassified position on a 12 month school schedule.
