About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on and client-facing SalesEngineer to join our team at Topsort. In this role you will play a pivotal part in translating real-world business needs into powerful scalable product solutions. Youll collaborate directly with sales product and engineering teams to support Pre-sales conversations - partner with sales to understand customer pain points lead technical implementations with Topsort.

You will:

  • Own Technical Discovery: Partner with Account Executives to uncover prospect needs and identify technical requirements

  • Deliver Tailored Demos: Run engaging customized product demonstrations that highlight key use cases and platform capabilities

  • Build Trust with Stakeholders: Act as a consultative technical expert during the sales process from discovery through procurement

  • Solution Scoping: Design high-level architectures and integration strategies to show how our platform fits into the clients ecosystem

  • Handle Technical Objections: Respond to product-related questions compliance concerns and API-level inquiries with confidence and clarity

  • Support RFPs & Security Reviews: Own technical sections of RFPs RFIs and trust assessments

  • Collaborate Internally: Relay field insights to product and engineering teams to help prioritize roadmap improvements

  • Continuously Learn: Stay current on our product integrations and relevant industry trends to build technical credibility

What (we think) you need to be successful- were open to not checking all the boxes and be proven wrong by outlier candidates as well!

  • 5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales solution engineering or implementation role preferably at a SaaS or platform company.

  • Strong familiarity with APIs system integrations and web technologies (bonus for experience with retail media ad tech or marketplace infrastructure).

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated success working directly with enterprise clients understanding their operational realities and constraints.

  • A pragmatic customer-first mindsetability to design what works in practice not just in theory.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information.

  • Clear sense of ownership you lead the solution from pre-sales design through implementation and post-sale success.
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape customer-driven roadmaps.

  • Bachelors degree and above in Computer Science Engineering or related field from a top school.
