The Amazon Devices research team seeks a strategic and passionate Sr. Consumer Insights Manager to manage our global brand tracking program. This role will not just oversee management of the program but you will focus on uncovering actionable insights our partners can use to improve our brands and products on behalf of customers. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of best practices and a deep interest in tracking and brand-oriented research. You also have a solid foundation in traditional (and emerging) market research methodologies. Youre able to balance being pragmatic with being creative to get to the best research outcome. Youre also focused on using continuous improvement strategies to raise the bar on research practices and to help scale programs and process. You posses uncanny observational and analytical skills an impressive ability to collaborate with teams around the world and a relentless determination to do what is right for Amazons customers. You work with minimal direction translate partner needs into tangible designs and move quickly while delivering high-quality outputs. You will work on overlapping projects and initiatives so effective project management is also essential.
Key job responsibilities
Lead a global brand tracking research program for Amazon Devices.
Partner with internal partners globally to identify category and brand health shifts and identify the right research opportunities to dive deeper into the insights.
Own all aspects of brand tracking including regularly consulting with partners on how to use research effectively to drive business impact.
Build scalable and nimble market research solutions tools and processes to help democratize and socialize insights.
Connect brand tracking data with other research and data to increase impact of our insights.
Communicate complex insights and data clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Drive impact to the business and customer experience as measured by adoption of research findings.
A day in the life
Our team moves fast and iterates often and you will be moving quickly with them but youll also have time to zoom out and ask the big questions. Youll partner with Marketers and Brand Strategists to provide a holistic and comprehensive look at our brands competitors and categories we participate in. Were doers and builders and youll need to switch between thinking strategically and acting tactically (e.g. thinking through how to get the right data for a novel problem in the morning and writing a quarterly brand health update in the afternoon). As a trusted partner youll be expected to help identify the right solution even if its not research.

We execute research to inform future products and services measure brand health and dive deep to improve the customer experience of our released devices and services. Were also builders which means were always looking for ways to make research scalable and efficient. Our team includes designers researchers and technologists that can envision create and execute ideas from start to end. A minimum of 7 years conducting quantitative research with experience leading international tracking studies end to end (designing executing analyzing drafting actionable recommendations and driving adoption of recommendations)
Experience managing primary quantitative market research
Experience scoping and running statistical modeling and analyses
Experience using Excel Word and statistical tools like SPSS/SAS/R/Q
Bachelors degree or advanced degree in business mathematics or the sciences
Experience in consumer electronics industry
US and international work experience
Masters degree or higher
Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $249100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
