As a Student Guide you will actively engage in developing activities that facilitate the smooth transition of students into university. You will serve as a point of contact for students seeking advice from a peer perspective.
You should demonstrate professionalism and a clear understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding requirements. Strong IT skills effective communication with individuals of varying ages and roles within the University time management and team working abilities are essential.
You should possess a thorough understanding of and actively promote the principles of Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). You should value and appreciate cultural issues fostering an inclusive and equitable environment within the University community.
Start date: 1 September 2025
End date: 31 August 2026
Working hours: Various - 5-15 hours per semester to be agreed
Rate of pay: 13.12 per hours plus holiday pay
Location: Jubilee Campus
Dress code: Smart casual
The duties will include:
As a Nottingham University Business School second or final year student you will work closely with Academic Guides UG course teams Amy Chappell: Senior Operations Officer (Tutoring) and wider Education and Student Experience (ESE) contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
You will be actively involved in developing engagement activities and will serve as a point of contact for students seeking advice from a peer perspective.
