Job Description

The Centre for Online Learning & Professional Studies at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a Part-time Academic Instructor to teach PSCI/DEVS 371 - Political Economy of Development in Winter 2026.

Course Number and Title: PSCI/DEVS 371 - Political Economy of Development

Start and End Dates: January 1 2026 - April 30 2026

Class Schedule: January 5 2026 - April 21 2026

Delivery Mode: Online

Duties

Part-Time Academic Instructor positions involve the normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course including but not limited to preparation and delivery of course content; development administration and marking of assignments tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; and holding regular office hours.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a PhD or Masters degree with significant experience in the course area. Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience with online teaching platforms are assets.
