About the role

Odevo UK is a market leading operator in the management of residential properties across the United Kingdom. Odevo UK is made up of a network of subsidiaries and departments serving both Odevos property management clients as well as external clients.

Insurance is a core element of our service offering and key to drive customer satisfaction engagement and longevity. Odevo UK has taken the decision to create a UK Group-wide Insurance strategy and deliver it via Alexander Bonhill (ABL) the Groups in-house Retail Insurance broker.

ABL will deliver the UK Groups Insurance solutions and the role of Insurance Account Director is key in supporting our UK companies deliver their Strategy.

The Insurance Account Director is a key role for ABL and will be responsible for the development and execution of ABLs go to market insurance placement strategy of our UK Groups growing Insurance portfolio.

Position: Insurance Account Director

Location: The convenience of working from home with the requirement to attend office meetings.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 17:00.

Key responsibilities

Policy placement & relationship management

    • Design and execution of optimal insurance placement strategy for UK companies and non-managed clients (3rd party freeholder and developers)
    • Deliver on KPI reporting requirements for all accounts under management
    • Deliver on Alexander Bonhills commercial plan relating to assigned UK companies and 3rd party clients
    • Support the development of new products and distribution channels to widen and grow Odevos UK insurance business and wider capabilities
    • Management of relationship with assigned UK companies
    • Management of relationship with Wholesale broker market
    • Management and effective negotiation direct with Insurance partners
    • Own end to end of the renewal process of UK companies insurance business including premium allocations
    • Maximise efficiencies and economies for Clients ancillary covers (D&O/Management Liability Legal Expenses and Engineering Insurance and Inspection)
    • Understand clients needs and requirements in terms of core insurance and help address with Wholesale brokers/insurers (renewal and MTA stages)
    • Oversee service delivery for all insurance queries arising from assigned portfolio
    • Own and deliver on key account performance metrics incl. lapses and retention new business support customer satisfaction

    Leadership & Team development

    • Support the development of new business initiatives across core and new channels
    • Direct interaction with UK Company leaders and non-Group senior client stakeholders MDs and PM teams acting as Insurance Liaison on feedback requests and questions related to insurance
    • Deliver training across PM teams and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and growth of the Insurance portfolio
    • Be an ambassador of Alexander Bonhills mission and values within the business and with our partners

    Claims Data analysis & Process improvements

    • Build strong and equitable relationships with claims adjusters insurers and brokers
    • Develop granular claims KPIs of effective monitoring and success of insurance function
    • Drive the delivery of comprehensive claims performance data at a UK OpCo portfolio level
    • Hold monthly meetings at a Claims adjuster levels and drive a mindset of continuous improvements driven by data metrics
    • Hold Claims adjusters accountable to SLAs
    • Perform claims trend analysis across portfolios and outline recommendations for quick wins and long term improvements
    • Develop claims related processes in collaboration with brokers and Claims adjusters focused on improving customer experience and good customer outcomes
    • Own and deliver on key Claims performance metrics; incl. time to open and close claims Claims NPS claims related complaints
    • Devise and deliver a strategy around claims automation related functions e.g. reduce need for on-site claims adjusters develop FNOL forms and tech-enabled claims triage processes

Experience and technical competence

  • Qualification to degree level
  • Good understanding of insurance products dynamics and roles of the players in the insurance value chain
  • Good technical writing client-facing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the property management industry or real estate insurance market
