Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled seasonal Pool Technician in the field servicing residential and commercial swimming pools. Reporting to the Service Manager we are hoping to find a candidate with previous experience and knowledge to hit the ground running in the role. This hands-on role is ideal for someone wanting to continue to grow their knowledge and passion for the pool industry or with previous experience in pool maintenance looking to make a change.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose repair and maintain inground swimming pools (commercial and residential) included but not limited to filter systems pumps heaters automation chemical feeders with little to no supervision.

Have experience in properly administering chemicals to pools to maintain proper water balance with ability to get water in balance ASAP when chemistry is less than desired.

Lead a team on a job site to ensure work is done properly and to customers expectations.

Responsible to train junior techs helpers cleaners in proper manor to ensure all jobs are completed to our standards.

Quote jobs as requested by customers. Involves gathering proper part # s (if applicable) proper labor hours additional material needed pictures of potential jobs. Also have ability to make recommendations to customers to rectify their issues with the best solution.

Initiate and complete all required documentation within established timeframe of completed job.

Have comfort level interacting with customers with great communication skills

Make recommendations to senior management on new techniques equipment to operate the most efficient manner possible.

Other duties as assigned by Service Manager per their discretion




Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of pool technician experience
  • Either have capability or already possess pesticide certification to apply chemicals to pools.
  • Have experience in quoting jobs for work requests
  • Proven track record in diagnosing pool equipment specifically heaters and automation.
  • Have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to be a leader
  • Ability to frequently pull push lift equipment and tools in excess of 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in stationary position while driving up to 50% of workday
  • Constantly positioning oneself to perform job duties such as stooping kneeling crouching.

Benefits:

Hourly: Position is paid $22 hourly depending on experience with time and a half for overtime.

Qualifications Proven experience in pool cleaning and maintenance is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in maintenance tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with clients professionally. A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
