Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer Aerospace
Are you ready to take on a cutting-edge aerospace project that pushes the limits of mechanical design Join ALTEN UK as a Mechanical Design Engineer where youll contribute to the development of ruggedized electronic enclosures for naval cabinets. This role offers the chance to work on mission-critical systems in a high-tech environment ensuring compliance with military and aerospace standards.
Position Details:
- Location: Hybrid Glenrothes or Harlow
- British Nationals only
- Experience Level: 5 years
Qualifications :
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & develop electronic enclosures for cockpit-based MCU/ECUs ensuring ruggedization for extreme environments.
- Conduct thermal & structural analysis using tools like ANSYS to ensure reliability and durability.
- Ensure compliance with EMI shielding and military standards for high-performance aerospace applications.
- Utilize Creo (3D CAD) for detailed design and integration of electronic components including busbars.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet stringent aerospace and defense industry requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Electronic enclosure design experience (preferably in aerospace defense or military sectors).
- Proficiency in Creo (3D CAD) for mechanical design and integration.
- Experience in thermal & structural analysis (ANSYS preferred).
- Knowledge of EMI shielding and military standards compliance.
