The Department Manager for Fresh Dairy Bakery & Frozen is a critical role within our organisation responsible for overseeing and optimising the performance of these key departments. This position demands a high level of professionalism attention to detail and leadership skills.
- Collaborate closely with the Floor Manager to implement and maintain stringent stock control measures ensuring optimal inventory levels are consistently maintained across all product categories.
- Provide authoritative leadership to the team of Store Associates directing them in the execution of mass merchandising strategies shelf management protocols stock control procedures and departmental cleanliness standards.
- Contribute significantly to the achievement of departmental sales targets through strategic planning and effective implementation of sales initiatives.
- Oversee the meticulous preparation and mechanisation of the department prior to store opening ensuring all areas are fully operational and presentable.
- Assume full responsibility for the precise presentation of products in accordance with established planograms maintaining a visually appealing and organised department.
- Strictly adhere to and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain operational excellence and consistency.
- Uphold and exemplify the highest standards of professional attire and conduct at all times.
- Implement and manage a robust system for tracking product expiries both during and after stock deliveries in close coordination with store associates.
- Execute comprehensive stock and shelf management strategies to optimise product availability and presentation.
- Ensure the delivery of exemplary customer service setting and maintaining high standards for all team members.
- Maintain an unwavering commitment to 100% cleanliness across all departmental areas and shelves.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve a 10% annual growth in new customer acquisition.
- Guarantee 100% product shelf visibility within the department at all times.
- Implement effective measures to reduce shrinkage to the predetermined target level.
- Conduct regular in-depth training sessions for all team members addressing individual strengths and weaknesses to ensure consistent adherence to operational standards.
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Intermediate with 6-8 years of experience.
