Devise and review specifications for products or processes
Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
Supervise inspectors technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
Approve the right products or reject defectives
Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
Qualifications :
Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal state and local regulations
Communication skills to convey information in reports meetings and status reports
Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control
Attention to detail
Analysis critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to review systems find flaws and pose solutions to those flaws
Interpersonal skills
Ability to handle stress
Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals and objectives.
Bachelors degree in Quality Control Engineering or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices including ISO 9001 ISO/IEC 17025 and Six Sigma
Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality control software such as Minitab
