Job Summary
The Fleet Mechanic / Oil & Lube Technician is responsible for keeping all vehicles in the fleet roadworthy and ready for service when needed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Performs preventive maintenance and repair work on Heavy Duty Fleet equipment. (Semi trucks and trailers).
- Reviews driver vehicle inspection reports. DVIR
- Responsible for being familiar with and observing all company safety rules and regulations; recognizes that safety is top company priority; attends regularly scheduled safety meetings.
- Need to have good understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Sweeps cleans organizes shop using 5S principles.
- Maybe required to answer roadside calls for disabled vehicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 yrs exp on Heavy Duty Semi Trucks or Heavy Duty Semi Trailers.
- Brakes wheel seals S Cams Slack Adjusters. Grease and Oil Changes.
- Minimum 2 years electrical trouble shooting
- Must have own tools
- 1 year welding/metal fabrication.
- Must pass MVR and Background Check
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL A or B
- Excellent work attendance history.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally required to walk stand climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
- Job functions will be carried out inside and outside of shop in ALL weather conditions. Requires tolerance for wet/rainy conditions high heat and cold temperatures.
