Job Description
As a member of the AI Enterprise Infrastructure team you will work collaboratively with technology groups to conceive design engineer and implement key data software and infrastructure that supports the work of employees across AbbVie via AbbVies Enterprise AI platform. Youll investigate identify and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms and develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across multiple disciplines. You will have the chance to deliver secure and scalable solutions that empower employees to leverage cutting-edge AI in all facets of our work from drug discovery and R&D to manufacturing software development and more. Responsibilities
- Design and implement data engineering solutions define schemas and establish standards for products on AbbVies Enterprise AI platform. Routinely demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing technology solutions.
- Contribute to the development of distributed batch and real-time data infrastructure as part of a collaborative agile team
- Serve as a technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop test and implement significant new products or improvements.
- Analyze and resolve technical problems
- Contribute to advancement of own function by studying state-of-the-art tools techniques and computing equipment
- Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies related to software development data ingestion/processing data storage distributed systems and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with product owners app developers data scientists infrastructure engineers and other stakeholders
- Highly autonomous and productive in performing activities requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor.
- Provides technical leadership and mentors and consults with less experienced staff in planning methods procedures standards and best practices.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies including code of conduct safety GxP compliance data security and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Bachelors Degree with 6 years experience; Masters Degree with 5 years experience; PhD with 0 years experience.
- Possess strong understanding of software engineering principles
- Experience working with large data sets and building data ingestion and ETL pipelines
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced business.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Demonstrate humility empathy and a collaborative spirit that fuels team success.
Preferred:
- Experience with AWS Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with streaming and batch data architecture and technologies such as Kafka and Spark
- Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow MLFlow or Flyte)
- Experience with data monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog Dynatrace)
- Experience building or contributing to Data APIs
- Experience with AI/ML or generative AI models

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. Salary: $94000 - $178500

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
