Electrical Test Engineer Wythenshawe Manchester

DOE Ongoing Training & Development

Are you an experienced Electrical Test Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking company with a specialised yet diverse product range Were recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer based in Wythenshawe Manchester who are offering a permanent position with full training long-term career development and varied engaging work.

The Role:

Working from our Manchester site youll carry out a wide range of electrical testing activities. The role is both challenging and rewarding offering exposure to specialised electrical products and systems. Training will be provided but a strong eye for detail and a solid understanding of electrical safety is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Voltage ratio and transformer vector testing
  • Winding resistance testing
  • Over potential and insulation resistance testing
  • Copper and iron loss testing
  • High voltage flash and partial discharge testing
  • Supporting Design Engineers in type testing new products
  • Maintaining documentation to ISO9001:2015 and BS/customer specifications

Qualifications (Desirable):

  • BTEC ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Experience (Essential/Desirable):

  • Ideally 2 years of electrical testing experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and follow written test procedures
  • Proficient in the use of electrical instrumentation
  • Solid understanding of AC theory and electrical testing procedures
  • Experience working in high voltage (HV) test environments safely
  • Familiarity with BS EN routine and type testing standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including customer interaction
  • Capable of independent problem-solving and collaborative team work
