Sharonview is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Teller Service Representative to join our team in Greenville SC. In this role you will assist our members with their financial needs while providing outstanding member service. Essential Responsibilities:
- Process member and business financial transactions including but not limited to issuing checks processing deposits withdrawals wires drafts and other negotiable instruments.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding account operations access to services discrepancies error resolution and adjustments to service features across various accounts.
- Stay informed about all products services federal regulations and internal policies/procedures relevant to the role.
- Engage with members in the lobby to foster relationships and identify opportunities to offer credit union products and services that meet their needs.
- Proactively engage in discussions with members to promote solutions that drive business goals such as deposit growth new member acquisition business services and referrals.
- Calculate and explain deposit rates and APRs/APYs.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of customer service experience is required; focusing on interacting with people and delivering high-quality service is preferred.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Proficient with various computer software applications including MS Word and MS Outlook and ability to learn in-house application software.
- Service-oriented with a proactive approach to helping others solve problems and meet financial goals.
- Excellent analytical organizational and detail-oriented skills with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally in person by phone email or in writing with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of processes tools and techniques for detecting addressing and preventing fraud.
Physical Demands
- Primarily sedentary work that involves extended periods of sitting/standing with extensive computer use.
- Repetitive motions involving the wrists hands and fingers.
- Light physical tasks including lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Requires consistent verbal communication and active listening.
- Regular interaction with others through various means including voice email and messaging platforms (e.g.
- Teams).
- Occasional movement to complete tasks or transition between worksites.
