Job Description Summary
Wilkinson College Career Manager is seeking a student to serve as a Career/ Social Media assistant for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Assistant will serve as mentors and will help undergraduate students and alumni with basic career services including but not limited to resume writing cover letter writing job search strategies LinkedIn and using Handshake Chapman Universitys Online Career Portal. The assistant will also be part of Wilkinsons social media team and help facilitate various designs and posts. In addition the assistant will also assist the Deans office with staffing events outreach to student organizations and colleges on campus and with marketing and administrative tasks within Career and Professional Development. Provide general admin/office support.
Responsibilities
Assist with resume writing career resources job searching techniques LinkedIn and other career-related inquiries Follow up with students and alumni to check in on the progress of their career-related inquiries Assist with workshops and career events within Wilkinson College Manage Handshake Chapmans Career Portal from the administrative side to make student appointments and track notes for student appointments Collect job and internship opportunities to input on the Handshake portal Compile write and revise blogs related to career Collaborate with the Wilkinson social media team to generate ideas create posts and reels for social media Attend student events and create content to share information Update and provide suggestions on Career and Professional Development handouts and collateral Assist with other Career and Professional Development projects Maintain the Front Desk of Wilkinsons Deans Office as needed Represent the mission and vision of Wilkinson College in a professional manner Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Be able to commit for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Familiar with social media sites Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Strong writing and editing skills
