Are you a data enthusiast with a passion for innovation Hitachi Energy is looking for a Data Scientist to join our Technology Center group in Raleigh NC. As part of our R&D team youll play a crucial role in advancing the global technology development of our distribution transformer business. This position offers a blend of office and hybrid remote work with opportunities to travel globally up to 10% based on project needs. Youll work on diverse business processes from engineering to manufacturing using your creativity and technical expertise to drive business productivity and innovation. How Youll Make an Impact
Display technical expertise in machine learning to a diverse team.
Propose project initiatives and value-added analytics.
Apply machine learning in engineering design and manufacturing processes.
Develop predictive models using techniques like Hierarchical Clustering Neural Networks and more.
Consolidate and clean data from multiple SQL databases for machine learning.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and model metrics.
Present results to stakeholders and continuously learn new tools and libraries.
Your Background
BS in Computer Science Data Science or related discipline with 2 years of experience; OR MS/PhD in a related field.
Proficiency in Python (Scikit-learn XGBoost Tensorflow Pytorch Numpy Pandas).
Basic knowledge of SQL Server or similar relational databases; proficient in SQL scripting.
Experience in building and implementing machine learning models.
Ability to quickly learn new tools and libraries for MLOps life cycle.
