Responsibilities
Responsibilities for Licensed Mental Health Clinician:
- Serve as a contributing member of the multidisciplinary treatment team for JBCT patients in roles as clinician treatment plan coordinator case manager and discharge planner
- Perform and document treatment plans treatment team review notes discharge summaries and progress notes
Provide individual and group therapeutic and psychoeducational services targeting competency restoration to JBCT patients - Coordinate with health and correctional staff regarding patients mental health care
- Participate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients security personnel and healthcare staff
- Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V-TR criteria and mental health practice standards
Qualifications
Qualifications for Licensed Mental Health Clinician:
- Masters prepared candidate with active unrestricted licensure as a mental health clinician in California
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) psychologist (PsyD/ PhD)
- 3 years of experience preferred but not required
- Experience working with the seriously mentally ill highly preferred
- Experience in a correctional or secure environment preferred but not required
- Valid CPR card
