  • Suffolk County Council 120 Star Lane Ipswich Suffolk IP4 1JN / Hybrid
  • 47003 - 51125 per annum (pro rata) Soulbury Scale Points 5-8
  • 14.8 hours per week
  • Fixed Term Contract or Secondment opportunity from September 2025 up to 11 months

When you join the Norfolk Essex and Suffolk Teacher Training (NESTT) team as a Senior Primary Trainerwell support your development from the start. Well help you to play to your strengths and develop your skills in the Initial Teacher Training sector.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Primary Trainer you will be:

  • supporting activities of the training programme for two cohorts in the primary phase ensuring they run efficiently and effectively. NB One of these cohorts will be based in Norwich the other in Ipswich
  • delivering high quality initial teacher training in computing primary languages and Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
  • leading the first year of the undergraduate QTS programme
  • delivering high quality initial teacher training with a focus on professional studies
  • contributing to the processes of the teaching and assessment of trainees.

Our well-established high performing primary team is committed to providing the best possible teacher training experience for all our students. We are seeking someone who can further strengthen the subject expertise within our team.

To align with our training schedule we are ideally looking for availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays with some flexibility.
