Description
Position Summary
Walsh University is a member of NCAA Division II that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Track & Field Graduate Assistant will assist in the teaching coaching and mentoring of team members relative to sport specific skills NCAA II rules and regulations individual and team development concepts as well as life skills education. Under the supervision of the Head Coach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coaching Duties: transportation practices meet preparation educates and mentors student athletes in all aspects of their holistic development; mind body and spirit.
Recruiting and abiding by NCAA II compliance rules and legislation as well as educating student-athletes about those rules.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities)
Must understand and support the Mission Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae and possess the following:
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students staff and faculty. Positive attitude a must. Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Word Excel Outlook
Education: Bachelors degree is required as well as acceptance into a Walsh University Graduate Program.
Work Experience: Should have previous experience as a track & field collegiate athlete.
