Step into Your New Role
We are seeking a Principal Engineer focused on municipal and agency client water/wastewater infrastructure projects to join our Southern California CA team. Location is flexible between San Diego Orange County Los Angeles or Inland Empire. Our Water Team is built on a strong foundation in San Diego County and is quickly growing our practice with new clients in Orange County Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Candidates must be highly experienced in the technical aspects of municipal water/wastewater engineering projects and possess strong technical expertise in delivering engineering services to public agency clients
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to develop both technical expertise and project management skills in water and wastewater infrastructure projects and grow into technical leadership and/or project and client account management.
Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work in our team-oriented environment primarily providing municipal and agency clients with professional engineering services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
If selected the candidate will lead and/or work with technical teams and be expected to provide a diverse range of water/wastewater engineering services which could include:
Leadership:
The ideal candidate is a leader within their current organization. Internally the candidate will be expected to provide mentoring and growth among project team members to help teach mentor and encourage growth of staff. Externally the candidate will have demonstrated activity in professional organizations
Business Development:
The selected candidate will be expected to possess strong connections in the water and/or wastewater industry and will be expected to help grow the team by participating in pre-positioning and winning projects for existing and new clients. The candidate will be involved in proposal and pursuit efforts and have the ability to nurture and grow client relationships and contracts that include complex multi-disciplinary projects in planning design and construction.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Civil Environmental Mechanical Chemical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
12 years of related experience in a consulting engineering firm.
Registrations/Licenses:
Though a Professional Engineering License in California is preferred for this position ability to obtain one of these within one year is acceptable.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary Range: 00.
