Job Description

Job Summary:

As our Accounts Payable Specialist youll be responsible for the full-cycle processing of accounts payable across all our locations in the U.S. and Canada. This includes handling vendor invoices reconciling statements reviewing expense reports and credit card receipts and communicating with both vendors and internal departments. Youll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and accurately.

  • Starting pay: $23- 25$ /hr (depending on experience)
  • Shift: Monday - Friday
  • Location: Bartlett IL

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner for both U.S. and Canadian operations.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts and investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Coordinate with purchasing departments to address pricing errors missing receipts or incomplete documentation.
  • Review and process non-PO invoices ensuring proper account coding and management approval prior to entry.
  • Reconcile vendor statements regularly and follow up on outstanding items or discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized records of pending and processed invoices in compliance with company and audit requirements.
  • Assist with monthly accruals and use tax calculations for applicable non-inventory purchases.
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume setting
  • Familiarity with accounting practices and procedures
  • College degree preferred (Accounting or Finance a plus)
  • Experience with Treqso Accounting System is a plus but not required
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Flexible and eager to learn new systems and processes
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills experience relevant education or training and geographic location starting in the range of $20.92 - $28.25 USD per hour.
