Job Description
Radiation Therapist
Location: Las Cruces NM 88001
Relocation Support Available
Our award-winning client nationally recognized for delivering top-tier healthcare is actively hiring two experienced Radiation Therapists to join their growing oncology department in Las Cruces NM (88001). This is a high-impact opportunity for individuals passionate about precision treatment and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments using advanced linear accelerators ensuring accurate and safe dose delivery
Perform simulation procedures and fabricate individualized treatment devices to maximize targeting accuracy
Complete daily QA checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators to maintain operational integrity and safety
Document procedures patient status and treatment plans in the EMR system including notes and scheduling
Collaborate with oncologists dosimetrists and medical physicists to monitor and adjust care plans
Participate in on-call rotation to ensure continuity of patient care
Communicate clearly with patients and families providing education and emotional support
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy
Licensed (or license-eligible) in the state of New Mexico
CPR Certification required
35 years of experience in a radiation oncology setting preferred
Proven knowledge of radiation safety QA protocols and advanced equipment use
Strong communication skills and empathy in patient care environments
