You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPosition Summary: Under limited supervision the VIEWS Case Manager is responsible for providing services for all VIEWS participants. The VEWS Case Manager in the absence of the Senior Director of Operations and Housing oversees day-to-day operations including policies and procedures operational goals reporting requirements and regulatory compliance for the VIEWS program. The VIEWS Case Manager is responsible for ensuring services to empower participants to address economic child care employment education health housing transportation life skills parenting recovery federal state and local assistance vocational assistance GED referrals and family needs in addition to identified substance use and mental health issues to facilitate and assist in their transition to self-sufficiency stability and recovery. The VIEWS Case Manager is responsible for keeping abreast of resources available by establishing and maintaining relationships with outside agencies which offer medical and mental health services permanent housing services employment services educational services and social services. The VIEWS Case Manager must provide tracking data for sustainability of quality case management services. No smoking workplace
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education/Experience:
A bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field is required for this position or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field. Previous experience in recovery case management/coaching and crisis intervention required. Knowledge of special needs of the target population substance use and ethical standards required.
Certificates and Licenses:
LBSW or LMSW preferred
Approval Requirements:
Position may require approval from Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to work in TDCJ-funded programs if applicable.
