Your role and responsibilities
Reporting to the Asset Manager for Carriageways Footways and Street Furniture you will define and propose maintenance works programmes for highway assets in accordance with the strategy and policies of Suffolk Highways and Suffolk County Council. Leading a team of Technicians you will be required to derive forward works programmes for Carriageways Footways Road Markings Road Signs and Street Furniture with annual works programmes valued in excess of 18m. Taking asset data and developing this into forward programme of work to achieve the corporate objectives is key to this role.
In addition to this you will assist in providing a responsive service for public enquiries relating to these activities and to ensure that through Infrastructure Operations (including its supply chain partners) Suffolk County Council is complying with its statutory duty to maintain a safe and serviceable highway network.
