Description

The Division of Thoracic Surgery atStamford Health in collaboration withColumbia UniversityandNewYork-Presbyterian is seeking aboard-certified or board-eligible General Thoracic Surgeonat theAssistant Professor level to join our expanding team.

Position Highlights:

  • Candidates should be proficient in all aspects of general thoracic surgery includingpulmonary mediastinal and esophagealdisease.
  • Expertise inrobotic (Da Vinci) and VATS (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery)is required.
  • The role includes opportunities forclinical and/or translational research.
  • Teaching responsibilitiesfor medical students and residents will be expected.
  • Stronginterpersonal and communication skillsare essential.

The successful candidate will be employed byStamford Healthand hold afaculty appointment at Columbia University. Theprimary clinical sitewill beStamford Hospitalin Stamford Connecticut with secondary responsibilities atNewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Centerand potentially at NYP satellite facilities inBronxville and the Hudson Valley.

Applicants must hold anM.D. or equivalent degree.
