Job Description:
Summary:
Responsible for scheduling plant operations to meet customer order timing while enhancing plant efficiency and meeting inventory goals. Apply Allison Sales and Operations Planning process to effectively forecast material.
Responsibilities:
- Create Sales and Operations plans to schedule plant operations and meet sales demand forecast.
- Use SAP to plan material at the transmission group level to assure availability to meet production schedules and optimize inventory.
- Work with Sales Order Administration daily to evaluate changes in customer demand.
- Facilitate floor operations and removes barriers for operations to meet measurable objectives.
- Create Final Assembly Schedules to meet customer demand timing.
- Resolve scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information; coordinating solutions.
Experience:
- Education preferred: College degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business Management or a related field preferred.
- Experience preferred: Prior Supply Chain experience using ERP systems
- APICS Certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- High level of interpersonal skills to work optimally with others.
- High level of analytical ability where problems are complex required.
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment required.
- Strong computer skills especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge / experience with planning and scheduling in an ERP system preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems and manufacturing processes.
