Job Summary

thyssenkrupp in Greer SC is currently hiring for a3rd Shift Local Yard Switcher to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for efficiently and safely moving trailers between various docks and locations within our customers yard. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a consistent rotating schedule and be home every day.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a yard truck to move trailers within the customers property.
  • Maneuver trailers to and from designated docks and parking areas.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems mechanical problems or delivery problems on returned proof of delivery sheets (load sheet)
  • Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.
  • Train others when required.
  • Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies

Shift: 3rd Shift -7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - Rotating Schedule

  • 1st week - 4 days straight.
  • 2nd week - 2 days on and 1 day off.
  • 3rd week - 1 day on and 1 day off and 2 days on.
  • 4th week - rotates back to 4 days straight.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • No less than 1 full year verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • This position requires a commercial drivers license (CDL). Class A
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a continuous basis
  • No Seatbelt violations.
  • No cell phone violations.
  • Clean Clearing House
  • Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements.
  • No more than three (3) accidents in the past three (3) years.
  • No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.

Job Compensation

$24.00 Hourly with a $0.50 shift differential. Increase in 90 days.
