DXC Technolgy is looking for a Senior Data Governance to lead the strategic design and implementation of data governance practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead enterprise-wide data governance and cybersecurity initiatives ensuring robust frameworks are in place for data protection classification and compliance.
Define and enforce data security policies in collaboration with cybersecurity IT legal compliance and data management teams.
Oversee the integration of data governance with cybersecurity controls including data loss prevention (DLP) identity and access management (IAM) and encryption strategies.
Act as a subject matter expert for regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR NIS2 ISO/IEC 27001 HIPAA) ensuring proper data handling and security across all environments.
Conduct regular risk assessments gap analyses and audits of data governance controls; provide executive-level reporting.
Lead the response to data governance-related security incidents working closely with the incident response and forensics teams.
Promote a culture of secure data stewardship through training communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science Information Systems Data Management or a related field.
5 years of experience in data governance information security or risk management roles with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
Demonstrated experience with enterprise data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK COBIT NIST).
Professional certifications preferred: CISSP CISM CDPSE CISA CRISC or equivalent.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align governance initiatives with business strategy.
Experience with governance risk and compliance (GRC) platforms metadata management tools or data classification technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
