We are working with a forward-thinking secondary school located on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast dedicated to delivering high-quality engaging lessons that inspire a curiosity for the past and its impact on the present.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join the Humanities department. The successful candidate will deliver History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to GCSE preparation and enrichment activities.
This position offers an immediate start with the possibility of continuation into the new academic year. The school is seeking an enthusiastic professional with strong subject knowledge and the ability to create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging and informative History lessons in line with the national curriculum
Creating a positive learning atmosphere that supports student progress and curiosity
Assessing and tracking pupil performance to ensure consistent academic development
Working collaboratively within the Humanities department to share best practices and resources
Supporting pupils in developing critical thinking and analytical skills
