Description
MedVet is seeking aCardiologist(board-certified or residency trained) to join our Cincinnati OH hospital. We are seeking an individual that is team oriented and has excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues clients and the referral community.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and provide medical care for animal patients that includes dogs and cats with symptoms of heart disease including abdominal swelling collapse cough difficulty breathing or shortness of breath and exercise intolerance.
- Part of a team of veterinary professionals that contribute to an animals care through advanced diagnostic and screening procedures treatment for a variety of conditions and intensive care hospitalization for cardiac emergencies.
- Develop an individualized health plan for the patient as well as those in need of cardiac therapy for long term care.
- Maintain state licensure and any board certification through continual education and follow ethical standards mandated by the Ohio Board of Veterinary Medicine.
Requirements of the Position:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from an AVMA-recognized institution
- Completed residency program in veterinary Cardiology
- Veterinarian License in Ohio
