KLA is looking for a Senior Electron-Optics Research Scientist with our Chief Technology Office in Milpitas CA or Ann Arbor MI!
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Expertise in Electron Optics including Optical System design; Lens Design; and Tolerance Analysis of Complex Optical Systems.
Extensive knowledge of high voltage electronics.
Extensive knowledge in surface science of electron-surface interactions.
Extensive knowledge in design and modelling of ultra-high vacuum systems.
Develop and/or provide significant input to the top-level system specifications sub-system error budget interfaces and working parameters for the optimum hardware solution.
Stay up to date on related external research and developments.
Collaborate with CTO team to develop new suppliers and research partners when appropriate.
Ability to work in a clean room environment.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
The physical work location for this role will be in Milpitas CA or Ann Arbor MI.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Masters Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
