Job Description

VELSIPITY represents an exciting growth opportunity that is integral to the performance of Pfizer Specialty Care. The launch of VELSIPITY in October 2023 was an important milestone as Pfizer endeavored to expand its leadership in I&I. This product could significantly change the early advanced therapy landscape with its unique balance of efficacy favorable safety profile with no black box warning and oral administration with no dose titration. Given the robust product profile our history in the GI therapeutic area and the substantial unmet need in UC we project this product to become a significant revenue contributor within the Specialty Care portfolio. Now in its second year on market in the US VELSIPITY is poised for rapid growth that delivers both for Pfizer Specialty Care as well as for the many patients in need of an effective oral treatment option in the first line of advanced therapy.

ROLE SUMMARY

The VELSIPITY HCP Senior Manager is a crucial role on an innovative talented and dynamic team that prides itself on bold ideas and high impact. This role will help lead mission-critical peer-to-peer work helping to shape elements of our overall P2P promotion strategy while driving excellent execution. Specifically this Senior Manager will lead all work around high-visibility congresses manage the VELSIPITY speakers bureau lead key personal and non-personal promotion tactics and champion the brand as RC and POA Captain. This role reports to the VELSIPITY HCP Team Lead and will work closely with cross-functional colleagues while directly managing agency partners and external vendors.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all sponsorships and congress planning including symposia product theaters booth presence and KOL engagement
  • Lead all congress execution efforts including training contracting and coordination with the congress planning team to ensure compliant and great customer experiences
  • Manage the VELSIPITY speaker programs by leading the outreach and contracting of key KOLs for the speakers bureau developing supporting materials for training and coordinating logistics
  • Support national and regional peer to peer programming and execution including development of speaker program materials and coordination with sales leads
  • Support collaboration with cross-functional team (including Medical TLE meeting planning team sales team and others) with KOL engagement and overall congress and P2P planning.
  • Lead HCP advisory board efforts in collaboration with TLE team
  • Support and advance Med-Ed strategies by applying customer insights from market research and providing strategic guidance on how they can be translated into effective tactics and messaging
  • Brand team lead for Pfizer GI Day working in close partnership with GI franchise leads and cross-functional partners
  • Assist in omnichannel non-personal promotional tactical pull-through

  • Contribute to annual strategic and tactical operating plans

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree required; MBA preferred
  • 6 years of pharmaceutical commercial provider managed care or strategic consulting experience including 2 years of marketing experience
  • Strong business acumen with excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of internal and external audiences including senior Pfizer leadership and senior management from external organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs extract key insights and translate these into meaningful strategies and in market results
  • Proven track record of leading and managing cross-functional teams and/or professional agencies
  • Ability to gain alignment: Effective listening and communication skills gathers input from key stakeholders; communicates scientific and commercial strategies into clear updates for senior leadership
  • Self-starter who can work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to navigate internal organization/processes
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional team members even without direct reporting relationships
  • Track record of innovation leadership and significant contribution to the growth of brands

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120800.00 to $201400.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
