Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join a dedicated maternal care team in California. This role is ideal for a clinician confident in managing the full scope of childbirth from labor through delivery and immediate postpartum care while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities:-
Provide comprehensive patient-centered nursing care during labor delivery and postpartum recovery

Monitor fetal heart tones uterine activity and maternal vital signs

Administer medications and IV fluids including oxytocin and epidural support

Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries including emergency situations

Educate patients and families on the birthing process and postpartum care

Collaborate with obstetricians midwives anesthesiologists and neonatal staff
-
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards

Uphold safety and infection prevention protocols throughout care

Active California RN license (Required)

BLS certification (AHA Required)

AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (Required)

Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience (Preferred)

Strong communication skills and ability to respond quickly to changing clinical situations

EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred if applicable)
