Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join a dedicated maternal care team in California. This role is ideal for a clinician confident in managing the full scope of childbirth from labor through delivery and immediate postpartum care while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mother and baby.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient-centered nursing care during labor delivery and postpartum recovery

  • Monitor fetal heart tones uterine activity and maternal vital signs

  • Administer medications and IV fluids including oxytocin and epidural support

  • Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries including emergency situations

  • Educate patients and families on the birthing process and postpartum care

  • Collaborate with obstetricians midwives anesthesiologists and neonatal staff

  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards

  • Uphold safety and infection prevention protocols throughout care

Requirements:
  • Active California RN license (Required)

  • BLS certification (AHA Required)

  • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (Required)

  • Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience (Preferred)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to respond quickly to changing clinical situations

  • EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred if applicable)
