Job Description

Air ticketing Department

  • The purpose of an airline ticket agent is to provide customers with information about airline services assist with ticket purchases and reservations check passengers in for flights and provide general customer service. This role involves handling all aspects of ticketing for customers from initial enquiries and reservations to the issuing of tickets and boarding passes. The ticket agent must be knowledgeable about the airlines routes fares and services as well as any restrictions that apply to flights. They must also be able to handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.


Airline Ticket Agent Role

  • Airline Ticket Agents provide customer service to passengers helping them to book change or cancel their flights. They provide advice on fares flight schedules travel insurance and other related services. They also issue tickets check passengers in and answer any queries passengers may have.


Airline Ticket Agent Duties

  • Deal with customer inquiries and reservations both in person and over the phone
  • Provide customers with information regarding flight schedules fares and connections
  • Issue tickets boarding passes and other travel documents
  • Help passengers with check-in procedures baggage handling and special needs
  • Assist customers with problems that may arise during travel.
  • Process ticket changes and refunds
  • Assist in other duties such as scheduling flights and handling customer complaints.
