Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will provide support to students with special educational needs ensuring their educational and social development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills patience and a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students with personal care and mobility if required.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to support student development.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and empathy towards students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive education practices.
- Relevant qualifications in special education or related field (desirable).

Education
NVQ Level 2 or above in Childcare or Health & Social Care Prior experience as an LSA, nursery nurse, or SEN support worker Psychology, education, or therapy graduates seeking practical experience
