Job Description

Now Hiring: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) TeacherSchool Year

Join a mission-driven team committed to educational equity for all learners. We re looking for a passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to serve students across multiple grade levels. In this full-time role you ll deliver personalized accessible instruction that supports both academic achievement and communication development.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring student progress through assessments and making data-informed adjustments to instruction. You will lead the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect each student s unique goals. In addition you will consult with school teams to help integrate necessary supports within general education settings. Collaboration with educators families and specialists is essential to ensure inclusive cohesive support for students. You will provide individualized and small-group instruction using evidence-based strategies and design and adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse learning and communication needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Valid Georgia PEL with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement.
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor s degree in Deaf Education Special Education or a closely related field.
  • Experience supporting DHH students in educational settings and familiarity with IEP processes.
