Position Details: Special Education Teacher
- Title: Special Education Teacher
- Location: Lakeville MN
- Duration: Start Date: August 25th 2025 End Date: May last week / June 1st week.
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
- Position Type: Contract
- Working Hours: 35 to 37.5 hours weekly from Monday to Friday
- Student Age Group: Elementary through high school (Multiple openings available)
- Case Load: 8-10 students approximately
Responsibilities: Special Education Teacher
- Teach in center-based classrooms from elementary through high school.
- Work primarily with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD).
- Manage classrooms with 8-10 students approximately with 1-3 paraprofessionals.
- Set up the environment and curriculum to support a diverse range of student needs.
- Differentiate lessons and respond appropriately to student behaviors.
- Establish behavior expectations and plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents related services staff and paraprofessionals.
- Direct the work of paraprofessionals effectively.
- Produce compliant special education paperwork using the SpEd Forms platform.
Qualifications: Special Education Teacher
- Possess a Special Education license in the State of Minnesota.
- Tier 3 or Tier 4 License in ASD or DCD preferred.
