What Youll Do
As an Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) role ensures inventory accuracy integrity and quality within a warehouse or distribution center. This includes verifying inventory records conducting audits enforcing quality standards and reporting on product rotation and close-to-expiry items. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse operations and prevent supply chain disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records conducting inventory counts and cycles and ensuring proper bin location and stock placement.
• Quality Assurance: Inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for quality identifying defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements in inventory control and quality assurance to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigating quality issues and identifying root causes developing corrective action plans and implementing solutions.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
• Reporting and Analysis: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) analyzing data and generating reports on inventory accuracy quality and process performance.
• Supplier Management: Monitoring and evaluating supplier product quality and performance.
• Team Leadership (in some roles): Supervising and mentoring ICQA team members.
• Collaboration: Working with other departments such as purchasing warehouse operations and customer service to ensure smooth operations.

• Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze data identify trends and develop solutions to problems.
• Attention to detail: Accuracy in inventory records and quality inspections.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems: Familiarity with WMS or other inventory software.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and procedures: Understanding of quality assurance methods and techniques.
