What we are looking for:
Were looking or a Purchasing Officer to join our dedicated Financial Services team. Youll provide support to Council ensuring procedures and policies are followed. Interacting with both internal and external stakeholders your days will be varied and interesting.
What your day will look like:
- Assisting with the purchasing of materials consumables and equipment
- Negotiating arrangements with suppliers
- Completing analysis and reports and assisting with project work
- Engaging with internal customers ensuring consistent purchasing processes
- Liaising with the Logistics Coordinator on stock levels

What youll need for success:
Youll have experience in a similar purchasing or related role and will enjoy working in a team environment. Youll be process driven and have high attention to detail. Strong customer service skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with stakeholders will set you up for success.
Youll have:
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- A high level of computer literacy
- Proven experience in process improvement
- Some knowledge of water infrastructure mechanics and electrical would be beneficial
