THE POSITION

A Senior Center Operator 1 will organize plan and schedule activities for participants in programs offered by the senior center. You will have the opportunity to identify the needs and interests of consumers and plan and coordinate recreation nutritional and educational programs to meet those needs. Work includes checking food deliveries training volunteers in food handling collecting donations and evaluating the success of center services in accomplishing program goals.

- Part-time employment
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday Thursday Friday with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three months of experience in providing direct services in a human services education or a community based setting to the aging population or to individuals from various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds or to individuals who have physical intellectual or emotional disabilities; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Monroe County. If no eligible candidates who live within Monroe County apply for this position candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
