Assistant Program Director - The Memory Care Center Full-time 40 hours/week Monday-Friday At Well-Spring Solutions we offer services for Alzheimers dementia and memory care as well as provide emotional support for family caregivers. The Assistant Program Director is responsible for managing the smooth flow of participant care in the adult day care program and will assist with planning and implementing the daily activity program. The Assistant Program Director will provide oversight of assigned program staff to ensure quality participant assistance. Also will assume the responsibilities for the operation of the program in the absence of the Program Director. Responsibilities: Program Management - Opening and closing center greeting families and participants upon arrival and departure.
- Maintain a safe environment at the center.
- Oversee development of activities special events; ensure activity staff is leading program activities as planned.
- Supervise planning organizing and implementing of daily activity programming outings and special events.
- Prepare weekly activity record Formulate and maintain activity outlines.
- Keep files of completed Center activities special events craft projects.
- May serve as Program Director in their absence
Participant Management - Monitor participants for changes in functional ability.
- Monitor location of participants.
- Assist participants with ADLs as needed
- Coordinate with Health Coordinator for taking and recording vital signs and weights as scheduled.
Staff Management - Knowledgeable with Center policies and procedures.
- Provide oversight for all Program Assistants and Activity Staff in their daily responsibilities.
- Review participant service/care plans with staff (in coordination with Program Director.
- Cover other staff responsibilities in their absence or when assigned.
Position Requirements: - Minimum of two years post-secondary education or high school diploma or equivalent and combined minimum of five years experience and training in services for older adults.
- Two plus years of work experience in supervision and administration
- Nurses aide home health aide or equivalent training course or a minimum of one year of experience in caring for older adults.
- Shall have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Shall have a positive creative flexible and outgoing approach to people.
