Job Description
Position Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Location: Greenvale NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday 5x8s (Day Shifts)
Shift Details: No nights weekends major holidays or on-call requirements
Pay Rate: $39 - $43 per hour (USD)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic surgical team in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in orthopedics and other surgical specialties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgical procedures.
- Handle instruments supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control standards at all times.
- Work closely with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to needs during surgery.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program (Technical Diploma required)
- Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital and orthopedic surgical experience
- Strong communication critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in high-demand surgical settings
