The EHS Manager will oversee both daily and long-term EHS&S operations for the entire mill. This role includes ensuring alignment with corporate goals and priorities. Additionally the EHS&S Manager will engage directly with community leaders and regulatory bodies to advocate for the mill within the local and regional context.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will develop implement and maintain effective systems procedures and training to achieve an accident-free and environmental incident-free facility
- You will integrate continuous improvements in environment and safety systems and drive employee engagement to achieve desired results
- You will ensure safe work practices complying with local state and company standards are fully in place and supported
- You will implement mill and company health and safety programs to identify and reduce risk from hazards
- You will manage safety initiative progress and tracking systems including but not limited to:
- You will lead in the development of Environmental Management System procedures for water air and solid & hazardous waste management
- You will actively communicate to the local mill the safety requirements transitions and procedures conveyed from the corporate office
- You will manage all regulatory reporting requirements and permitting processes
- You will develop safety and environmental leaders within direct supervision and mentor safety coordinators working through operations and maintenance teams.
- You will create and reinforce a safety culture that encourages the proactive identification of drift towards our desired goal of building a learning culture.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in environmental sciences occupational health and safety or related field
- Must have 10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing and environmental areas
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations; expert knowledge preferred
