50000 per annum
West Bromwich West Midlands
Full-time Permanent Monday to Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
This is a key position offering a mix of hands-on technical responsibility and team leadership within a high-hazard chemical production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Compliance:Oversee planned and reactive maintenance ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Project Work:Support small capital and upgrade projects by designing specifying and installing electrical equipment.
- Team Leadership:Supervise a small team of in-house electricians and external contractors.
- Technical Authority:Act as the go-to expert for all electrical matters including hazardous area classifications (ATEX BS60079).
- Health Safety & Environment:Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Training & Development:Manage the development of the electrical team including training plans and technical growth.
What Were Looking For
- RQF Level 3 (or equivalent) in a practical electrical discipline (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3)
- Minimum 5 years experience post-qualification in an industrial setting
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead engineer role
- Familiarity with ATEX standards and hazardous area installations
- CompEx (Ex01-04 & Ex05-06) qualifications preferred or willingness to train
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a flexible and hands-on approach
